Sonia Warfel is neither a designer, author, nor illustrator. She is in fact a dancer, dance teacher, choreographer, and arts fundraiser. Most recently, she was invited to perform with Nathan and Julie Gunn in a sold out recital at Carnegie Hall which was favorably reviewed by The New York Times.
As an MFA candidate in the department of dance at the University of Illinois, she thought it might be fun to take a class in art and design. It turned out to be a very humbling experience. She would like to express her deep appreciation and admiration to Jessica Mullen and all her fellow students. This web site is the result of a class taken in the summer of 2008.
